This entire month is a celebration of women across all creative spaces, so we wanted to dedicate both of our Monday Moods in March to highlighting some of our favorite female artists from the Golden State. As always, you can check the full Stay Golden Spotify playlist here.
Kicking things off is triple threat singer, songwriter and actress LIV with the soul-searching “Real,” the third single off her forthcoming EP, followed by songstress Nina Herzog, who will be dropping her Together Away EP via Label Logic on March 12. Says LA’s Foxes of her latest single “Hollywood,” “I wrote this song after an extended stay in West Hollywood when I was feeling completely overwhelmed and really struggling as a young artist trying to make sense of it all.” The track is a somber celebration of sometimes alienating mystique of the city. Boston-raised but LA-based Rosie Darling delivers the EDM-inflected “Heavy,” and Jensen McRae, who is slowly becoming our favorite artist of 2021, comes through with yet another gem on “Starting to Get to You.”
Make sure to tune in on Monday, March 22 for the second installment of our “Women in Focus” playlist!
